Ya I just checked it out on google. There are your pix.
This isnt a complaint against the iris database especially but I am frustrated by thye absence of plant heights for both iris and lilies.
I guess the database assumes everyone knows relative heights for classifications .I am an amateur and need the extra info.

I found this at Dees and MA.I might need to place an order this summer.
Persona,what a versatile color group.

Nice pics, Paul. Thumbs up .I know how you feel, Jo Ann, I hate the lack of height info on some data-bases also. There can be quite a big difference from smallest to largest in a "class". I've heard all kinds of opinions, that it,s" not accurate anyway"," that's only under ideal conditions",etc., But it gives one a general idea....Arlyn

I agree, there is a big difference in some medians that go from 18 inches to 24 inches.
Guess I need to design for optimum height in that category.

Gingerbread Trim is a winner!

You guys are way too organized. BTW, I hope you don't mind me referring to people as 'guys', I do know the difference, LOL. It's a 60s thing, I think.

I just know I want more historics, and I'm so glad Dee is going to carry them!

I usually just order on line, and mostly from Dee, but Mid America does put out a nice catalogue. Most of the printed catalogues you have to pay for, and this is no exception. But they send me a hosta catalogue and something else, too. maybe a shrub catalogue?

Mid America has hosta? Looks like a good website. Does anyone trade much on the iris forum? I really need to curtail some of my spending lol.

I usually dont read catalogs.I look at websites and "collect" pix and file them in a big folder on my computer. That way I can access them when making color echoes with all the plants in my garden.

I usually dig iris at Borglums Iris Farm every spring, plus order from Dee and Mid America.

Polly !!! I NEED to be organized with a memory thats not what it used to be.

The hosta garden is Seabright which is on the grounds of Mid=America. They garentee their hostas free from virus, which is a common problem with the hosta plants from big box stores.

Great pictures everyone Gingerbread Trim is a must have this year The beards really make it glow, I bought just a few this year to try them and see how they do here, we are notorious for late frosts and from what i understand they normally bloom earlier then the TB so I am curious to see how they do.

Shannon I would suggest getting Barry Blyths if you don't have it yet this year, his is my favorite catalog the pictures are great and there is a ton of good reading in there he lists the Parentage of everything he sells, I will spend a lot of cold winter nights browsing through it. If you are not a member of the AIS or TB society there magazines are really nice as well beautiful pictures and a ton of good information. Here is the link for Barry's just send him a email and he will send you one usually within a week or so.
