That looks like the beautiful Bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis) but are they blooming now? Spring is their normal bloom season but gee, the way the weather is anymore ...

Yes! That's it! Bloodroot? Kind of morbid.

No, it's not blooming now. I spent all last spring wandering through my inherited garden trying to figure out what was growing.

I'm just getting around to posting pics and questioning things because I'm spending time trying not to obsess over election results. 😆
