From my walk this morning, is it a type of Palm?

I have trouble identifying palms but it reminds me of an untrimmed
Canary Date Palm (
Phoenix canariensis
)

The Dougherty Garden
It sure looks like one. The leaf stems for the Phoenix series of palm trees are pretty similar but vary in size and length. I grew this one for a time.
Been growing green for over 70 years.
