Quercus dentata has rounded lobes on its simple leaves which lack bristle tips. Observe the pictures posted by RuuddeBlock, and consult any additional sources.

This picture is of a handsome oak in the Red Oak group, displaying the typical bristle-tipped lobes. In fact, this picture is probably a Quercus rubra, by the leaf morphology and prominent buds.
