Hello All,

A friend gave me a few cuttings of the attached plant. I can't figure out the species and when I use the plant ID apps it tells me that it is a Desert Rose. Any thoughts on this? Her plant was about 3 feet tall, waxy droopy leaves, and she said it drops leaves twice per year. If it is a Desert Rose, it could be dropping because it is so cold? Or maybe it is something else all together. Any tips would be very appreciated. Thanks!

I believe it's a Euphorbia Grantii? I may be wrong! Shrug!

I agree with John; the former Synadenium grantii is now Euphorbia bicompacta.
It should be easy to keep. Mine do not drop leaves seasonally. It looks like the ones in the photo need more light and food.

It sure looks like the African Milk Bush (Euphorbia bicompacta var. rubra) that I had about 12 years ago.

Thank you @John2468 and @Iochroma. This is a scary plant and it is growing very aggressively in my living room. It's starting popping up a ton of babies already. I'll have to keep an eye on it! Thank you both, glad to know what it is and how to care for it.
