I just looked it up in the database and I actually have heard of Painted Tongue before, just never really knew how they look. They're all so pretty.

So pretty, Zuzu! Thumbs up

It's a new one on me, too, and will definitely try to grow it in the spring.
it may be difficult here in 10a, but if you can in 9a, worth a try. Smiling

BTW, where did you get your seeds? I found this mix on Amazon.

Did not find any at Park Seed, Eden Bros, Burpee, or SeedsnSuch.

It will grow beautifully in your zone, Cal. I've always bought the plants in six-packs at a local nursery. The Amazon offer looks good, but 5,000 seeds????

I was thinking of growing it from seed this year because the need for social distancing might keep me out of nurseries. I found it on the Baker Creek site.

The grandifloras are a taller variety, and planting 200 seeds sounds more practical to me.

I've been admiring not just the lovely colors and shapes, but the way the repeated section blends so well with the original banner crop. The seam between it and the repeated section is barely noticeable. Thumbs up

I've noticed that when I blow up the banner, many of them have repeated sections. I think it must be when they are smaller banners. This one doesn't repeat on my desktop.
