Last plant problem I hope.

My bigger monstera suddenly had black spots appear on two of its leaves. The spots are soft so I am a little panicked. A new leaf did not open, it is dried and brown. This plant has some old scarring and damage from the box store where I purchased it.

I generally allow it to dry a bit between watering but life has been crazy and I don't know if maybe I didn't wait as long in between?

Any help would be very appreciated. I have a large number of plants and all of a sudden am running into some issues that I have never experienced before 😥

Hello Megan, I am also in the same boat as you. I have a large number of plants In my house and three of my monsteras are showing the same symptoms. The mother plant is around 7 years old and the other two are just a year old. They all have some black spots on them and the new growth on them is not healthy .
Did you ever find out the root cause for your problem? Hope you did.
Thanks for sharing.

Wow I just realized that I missed your reply! I did figure out the issue with this monstera, I had placed Christmas lights on it for literally 30 minutes to take a picture and these burn marks appeared where the heat of the lights was touching the leaves! How is your monstera doing?
