Cal, Beautiful! I love the reflections and gentle ripples. And that plant is such a pretty turquoise blue! Is that the true color?
I'd love to see a full photo, too. Smiling

Thanks, Laurie. Smiling
They're pale green. The water is in shadow then, and maybe gave it a more turquoise look.
But I'm a bit blue challenged, at least according to the color dot test.

The reflections are plants... cannas, aloes, a melaleuca tree in the direct sunlight opposite
the camera.

I took those pics 11/13/20 at ~4:30pm when the sun was in the southwest.

BTW, water lettuce is the perfect raft for bees to come and get a drink on a hot day.
So easy to grow in just a tub of water. Also attracts frogs. Put some mosquito fish
in and/or some Mosquito Bits......no problem.

Lately the ducks (mallards) have taken over the pond that time of day, so we haven't
been able to sit & enjoy the reflections. But that's Ok.....it's their pond. Green Grin!

If you haven't tried water gardening yet, I hope you will this year.
Very easy & satisfying. Smiling

Cal, I love the whole shot you shared. All the different colors of the reflected plants are so intriguing. As for being 'blue challenged', I expect each of us have eyes that respond to the color spectrum in our own unique way. Viva la difference! Ambient color temperatures (time of day, sun, shade, clouds, etc.) shift colors, too. I say, go with what looks good to you.

I love the idea of bees using the water lettuce as little lifeboats from which to drink. We forget that a number of insects need access to water, just like the birds. And while I'm not a fan of mosquitos, at least they serve as food for other creatures.

I marvel at how the colors and rhythms of this banner photo marry well with the blue-green NGA logo. Fine choice, @EscondidoCal!
