Great story Alex. Yep, that sounds like one weedy sedum. I don't grow that one. I do grow Sedum album. It grows like a weed at my place, but an enjoyable weed to me. Many seedlings have appeared even in beds that never had album growing any where near. In the process of looking at seedlings I am finding many variations on the original plant.
This is some of the seedlings growing on our cement bridge that crosses the creek.

Does anyone have much luck with rooting Sedum spathufolium? I've tried it three times before and none of them rooted

Alex, I take pieces that are already showing some root growth. Each rosette of leaves is capable of growing roots. You can choose some that have already rooted into the soil, cut the stems that connect them to other rosettes, lift and replant. They need to be protected until they are actively growing again.
