White Splendour

Anemone blanda 'White Splendour' opens wide in the sun. Lovely spring flowering bulb that slowly multiplies.

Very pretty!

Very Happy Spring banner, Laurie! Thumbs up
Really pretty.
Wouldn't have guessed it was a bulb.

What is the little yellow flower in the upper left?

Thank you everyone for your comments and likes. Anemone blanda is one of my favorite flowers. Smiling The bulb itself is unusual in that it shrivels up when dormant and doesn't really look like a bulb. It is hard to tell top from bottom, so you have to plant them on edge. Sometime, I'll have to take a picture.

Cal, the yellow flower is Potentilla verna 'Nana'. Here it is with Anemone and tulips:

Love the banner, Laurie. I, too, love this spring flowering bulb. I see it in naturalized settings in numerous sites throughout Hidden Lake Gardens, mostly in white or purple colors, and I look forward to seeing it every spring.

This is the prettiest anemone.....looks like a daisy.
Too late to get some now....."Out of Stock". Rolling my eyes.
On the list for this Fall, though. Smiling

Elizabeth, I've seen these anemones in white, blue and pink/purple. I have planted blue ones, but they don't seem as vigorous as the white. I don't even recall if any blues bloomed this past spring. Thinking

Cal, I've purchased them from Brent and Becky's Bulbs, but I think many places carry them. I believe each bulb produces only 1 bloom, but they have slowly multiplied for me (so not out of control).

They're new to me, and hope to establish a little
colony here when they become available again.
Thanks for introducing me to this neat little bulb. Thumbs up
