Thanks all.

That 3rd was something I found at some botanical gardens in Sweden and well I took 3 small ones. They were growing everywhere in the bulb/dry-liking plants as it was an area with lots of gravel and sand. So I guess it doesn't like too much wet. And with all the rains and snows we've had... I am surprised it survived. And well, the winter hasn't been WINTER at all. Much warmer than it usually is.
So this winter may not be the right one to decide this plant is HARDY over here.
Supposed to make tall slender and branched stems with lots of tiny white (if I remember correctly) flowers. The plant/leaves are the eye-catchers with this plant.

If picture is needed, someone can just get this one. But I think I have a better looking pic somewhere in the ID in one of my threads back in June/July (when I tried to ID it).

Found the thread. The thread "Succulent(like) and variegated rosette" in Plant ID forum
Well, I thought the pic was better, but I think this one is.

:)

Calin, according to the Denver botanical gardens these plants are biennial bloomers, and hardy to USDA zone 6 since you're in zone 6b that should be good Hurray!

Yup, but I am afraid I may have not mixed enough sand and gravel in the spot.
I hope it's not too late to mend that.

A few other pics...

If all these make it to "adulthood" I'm gonna have a nice bulb garden

Know any way to persuade it to bloom?
I can't make any promises, other than "I'll share the EXTRA seeds with you all".
Stress on EXTRA cause as it happens, this will die after producing seeds.

I did read that you can cut the bloom stalks off before they bloom and it is more likely to form offsets. But who would want to take the chance of at least having seed if the plant doesn't make it.

Calin, you seem to know alot about plants so here is one I'd love an ID on (I posted in plant ID but impatient Sticking tongue out )
Thumb of 2013-03-02/gg5/bbbb77
I think it has a rhizome type root and as you can see it will be a good sized plant!
Thanks I tip my hat to you.

Well, don't ask me how I remember its name but I DID.
Have never used it. I mean, it's exactly (I think) the plant I saw by river bank here, in some forests, and it was actually only the stems with the blooms (they were pinkish, not white) and when I pulled some, they had really long and thick roots. Later on in summer, huge leaves everywhere.

Petasites would be the name.

IS IT ?

I put the pics somewhere for ID and someone IDed it and since then I have never used the word. What memory I can have sometimes!!!
(rarely, though)
