Hello all! I was hoping you could help explain what's going on with my friend's Easter cactus! The base of the stems have gone white. I want to bet corking, but I can't find any reliable photos to compare corking on other schlumbergera. Could it be some disease instead? They explained that they water when it appears limp, and may be mildly underwatering. It was repotted 3 months ago and they believe the roots were also very compact, if that matters. It also sits in a south-facing window but it does not receive direct sun due to the soffit. Please help, if you can! Thank you very much!
