Good Morning:

I'm taking care of my mom's plant until hopefully she returns from rehab.
Trying to determine the type of plant & determine what type of soil we should use to replace old soil, and how often to water.
Any recommendations or Guidance would be appreciated.
Photos (3) are attached
Thanks, Bud in Southampton,Pa

Welcome! to the NGA forums

your plant is a schefflera ...not sure what type exactly

repot with any *indoor* potting mix

Place in bright - indirect - light

Water when top 1" of potting mix is dry

Welcome!

Schefflera arboricola.

Instead of repotting, I would give it a warm soapy bath. It may have bugs and is definitely dusty. Use soap, not detergent mixed at 1 tablespoon per gallon of water.
