Was given these two plants as a gift and informed that they were pink dragon alocasia. While researching I noticed that the smaller plant seemed to resemble the pink dragon but the bigger one does not. Any ideas on if these two are the same type of alocasia? The reason I have doubts of them being the same type is the shape of the leaves on the larger one. If the bigger one is not a pink dragon what could it be?

It actually resembles ALocasia 'Ivory Coast' more to me that 'Pink Dragon'. Mainly because of the shape of the sinus and the flaring auricles. They are both the same plant, the smaller one just has immature growth.

Your large plant concerns me though it looks a little 'dusty' like it may have a spider mite infestation on the undersides of the leaves

Here are our database links for the two that Gina mentioned:
Elephant's Ear (Alocasia Safari Ivory Coast) - trade name 'Ivory Coast'
Elephant's Ear (Alocasia Safari Morocco) - also sold as 'Pink Dragon'

Although I don't see any signs of the fine webbing of spider mites, the leaves on the larger plant does indeed appear to have damage from mites.

Crossing Fingers! It's just old damage from a long since gone infestation.
