Please help me to ID this Hibiscus. This one is growing in a pot at the shopping plaza in Phoenix , AZ. It thrives on South West side of the building. Hot and sunny side! I ask because all my tropical hibiscuses I tried to grow in my back yard died. Seems like I have been trying to grow wrong type for our climate.

Ask them for a cutting. Those are super easy to root.

That is a Tropical Hibiscuses (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis) It would be impossible to know an exact cultivar name but it's still a Tropical Hibiscus (H. rosa-sinensis).
