Many of the pictures I add on ATP are taken at this nursery, I am retired and have toyed with the idea of maybe asking to work a few hours a week when spring comes. Minimum wages would be OK but I have bad legs so Confused

Those were the only containers I noticed today. I'm certain they will plant more soon for Valentines Day and will keep an eye open for them and take pictures when they do.

I have used dracena the upright but it seems to be old fashioned. I have also used a canna but it did not do well due to low light.
Because of my limited light I don't think I can use a lilly.

Do you know a shade loving lilly? Also recommended are grasses but I have the same problem with those not doing well in shade.

Would Cordyline work? I am not sure on how much sun it needs.

Thanks for the photos from your favorite nursery.
They do some very good design work.
Keep posting their work!

The info says it requires full sun. So I guess not but thanks for suggestions. I tip my hat to you.

I am looking at some of the taller growing coleus as a possibility. This is my problem for almost all my plantings -- full to heavy shade Crying

I often use partial shade plants with so so results.

Its not the most glamorous plant but what about Sanseviera for the upward spikey form? I see nice plants at reasonable prices at the big box stores and you could repot it in the fall, keep it indoors and reuse the following year.

Paul, is that what we used to call Mother-in-law tongue? (No longer politically correct)

I will look at that one. Thanks, Also have been thinking of a skinny trellis of some sort to support the less robust/upright plantings?

Mother-In-Law Tongue and Snake Plant are common names. A trellis or some pretty branches would give height and support.

Haven't had good luck in growing fuchsia in that location.

But thanks for suggestion.

Here is last years pot. It is recovering from a hail storm that took the impatiens out.
