I'm in Texas and the freeze we had last week seems to have ruined my Aloe Vera plants! I covered them up but apparently that wasn't enough because the below is how they now look. is there any fix for this? Many of the leaves are damp, Brown, and a drooping. Should I just cut the Brown parts off? Will those specific stems grow back or is that not how aloe vera works? will it just grow new stems instead? Also please ignore the weeds I haven't had much free time to clean up around the garden
Texas plants really took a hit. I'd just cut off the brown or damaged stems. They won't repair themselves, but lots of new stems will form if the roots are ok. I have a feeling by the middle of summer you may have some really nice plants again.
Yes, those plants will grow back and probably will begin the process soon. You can cut the damaged foliage off now or leave to dry up a bit before you trim it off. I usually let foliage like that dry up before I remove it. Too messy to fool with when it's in a gunky state - and Aloe leaves are thick and stay gunky for a while.
