Hello guys I've had this cereus (I think) for just over a year and it's done great but it's just started doing this from the bottom. My question is, do I need to perform surgery to save it or will it heal its self? Is their anything I can use to help it?

I never over watered it really. It has stones at the bottom quite thick to drain too :/ should it be repotted?
It was always happy and this has happened in the last week.

So it doesnt. It will keep dying. Cut about....30-40 cm above the soil line and let dry for a month. Then plant. Disinfect your tools. Apply cinnamon on the cut area. And pot it somewhere where it drains. @Daisyl will probably come over and give lectures on why stones are bad at botttoms and whatnot...but if it doesnt drain, it doesnt work.
