They have stayed alive all winter, watered just a little bit and even lazily produced a leaf or two (they are near one of those small basement windows where a little light comes in.) Temps down there are about 50.

The days are longer and I'm excited about spring. I might hold off up to May to move them outside, depending on conditions, but I'd like to bring them up and enjoy them as houseplants for a while.

House is dry, we're in zone 5, lighting should be fine or can be supplemented.

Am I just asking for trouble? I have a tendency to do that.
For a time. I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

I don't have bananas, but I can't see where it's a problem.
I am trying to wake up my canna roots, crinum, tuberose, callas.. get them moistened and thinking about growing, in pots in warm sunny places. . Also did water my Alocasia but they are still downstairs.
Plant it and they will come.
