Thread OP

Hello
My cactus has been developing this gray- beige wrinkled spot on the side, which has been causing it to bend (I know it already looks silly), and I don't know what could have caused this. I have recently repotted the plant because it was too large for the old pot, but the spot was here before. I was looking for advice as to any way I could help it get better. I have attached a couple of pictures to show the spot. Thanks so much!

I can't tell if it's rot or cold damage, but I'm not sure if it will survive whatever occurred. Sad

Hard to tell from the photos. Is it soft or is it hard?
Your comment makes it sound like it is slowly getting bigger.
If it is crisp and hard then I would consider sunburn.
If it is soft then maybe fungus or bacteria.
Does it smell?
Can you give us a closeup photo?
