Does anyone know what plant this is? Got it as a gift and need to know what care it needs. Thank you!

Its a Haworthia or maybe an Aloe. Put it in the sunniest window you have. Water it when the soil is dry to the bottom of the pot. Don't let it sit in water - you will have to take it out of the decorative pot to water it. But that' a good thing as you can judge when the soil is dry by the weight of the pot. Light pot, water. Heavy pot, don't.

It looks like it's planted in that pot. Does it have a drain hole in the bottom? If not, you need to repot it into one that does.

Under the leaf to the right, you can just see the rim of a black plastic pot.
