I was just looking at Lin's photo of Alpinia Nutans, which are beautiful, and saw the related thread Salt Tolerant Plants. I have a feeling this will be the all time winner in that category.

Lynn don't forget the worlds mangrove forests, very salt tolerant. What can be grafted on those roots will thrive.

I ended up spending the week on a hundred projects and didn't get to this one. Fingers crossed for this coming week.

I don't think there is any great hurry. I just didn't know if I was still suppose to do something. I've been going in so many directions the last week.

I just purchased a Bougainvillea Arborea , my question is : is it really salt tolerant ? My sweet neighbour a keen gardener ( 85 years old) says not. We live on the coastal zone ( coastal dunes).

A report out of Australia states that is highly salt tolerant.

Bougainvillela does very well here on the coast of the Sea of Cortez. Very salt tolerant.
