Anyone have a resource for
bromeliad XANDROLAECHMEA 'DEAN'
I feel obsessed to find it in Southwest Florida somewhere between Sarasota and Naples. I prefer to purchase from a nursery or pick up a pup someone is selling. Thanks

I was just reading where Bullis will occasionally welcome retail customers if they are not busy. If they are busy however they can be less than welcoming.

Bromeliad Paradise in Naples, Fl shows it on their website with the option of them notifying you when it's available: https://bromeliadparadise.com/...

I would try Tropiflora, and actually e-mail or phone them with the request because they have many more broms than what is listed on their website. www.tropiflora.com They're in North Sarasota and such a pleasure to deal with and visit.
ps. that picture looks to me like it's been 'enhanced' to exaggerate the colors a bit.
Thanks for the recommendations. Put them all on my list of future day trips.
I found "Dean" at Maree Farms in Ft Myers, FL today. Brought a big smile to my face. I think this one is worthy of a new huge ceramic planter. Sure to be a focal point in the island bed.
Ok so maybe I threw in a few more. I couldn't pass up 3 for $25 and they are each about 25" tall.
Since you like the big ones you should look for a Billbergia 'La Ve En Rose'. It get huge and blooms freely when mature. The flower are large and showy too.
