I was wondering if anyone knows of any good nurseries in the Clermont Area that I should not miss? I will be visiting there next week and if I get some free time I would like to explore.

I have a gardening friend that lives in Clermont, sent her a text message and asked, will let you know.

Thank you. We'll probably drive through Apopka to get there but that places gives me sensory overload. Hilarious!

I live so close to Apopka, yet I've only been to a few nurseries over there, never any of the orchid nurseries. Haven't heard back from my friend, but she's in the process of moving out of her home, so probably pretty busy.

Thanks Sherri. I have friends who have close friends from England who own a home in Clermont. The owners have not been able to travel to the US because of Covid so my friends go every few months and check the house which has been empty for two years now. They tell me there are nurseries all over so maybe it is like Apopka. I just didn't know where to stop first in Apopka, there were growers in every direction. Wish I could stop at Lukas this trip but I suspect we will avoid Orlando and not get to Oviedo.

This is what my friend sent me, copy of her text....

There is a buzz about Traveling Trees, rt 50, in Mascot, just outside of Groveland. I use Copelands on 561 sometimes. Also go to Cabbage Patch, they buy locally and resell. Kim at cabbage patch knows all the nurseries around if yr friend wants to really get the scoop.

THANK YOU, and thank your friend. I will put them all in the GPS and hope I have enough time to explore. I love the name Traveling Trees. Smiling

I only got to the Cabbage Patch nursery but loved it. It is very small but the plants were all healthy and I could tell they move fast there. I picked up an orange Cestrum and a couple of gorgeous salvias for unheard of prices. They would have cost double what I paid that here around Jax. Thanks Sherri.

Alice, I've stopped in there before too, glad you found some goodies to take home. Thumbs up
