They look great David. You got an amazing number of first year blooms!

Hopefully many more blooms will show up in Spring 2022.

Your flowers on those tree peonies look great. Many times on newly planted tree peonies they don't reliably give me flowers that first year. Yours look fabulous!

Sorry posting was so delayed, this year has really flown by!
I really was surprised, many from Solaris and Adelman's either bloomed or formed buds that aborted/ blasted.
Sadly Joanna Gilbert was one that had buds that never opened. I think there was more of those then ones that did bloom!
ShimaDaijin bloomed its 2nd year in a row, so really hopeful that many will bloom reliably every year.

@magnolialover
Your Wisteria Reflections crosses, I just saw Nate's Seminar on growing from seeds, he mentioned the process had to be done indoors for Lutea seeds, I think that was because they needed 3 months of warmth....
But I was wanting to ask you, do you grow your Lutea seeds indoors?
And would that still apply if it was a Lutea crossed with a Suffruticosa?

Hopefully some of these will be big enough to give crossing a try next year!
Shima Nishiki has a seed pod on it this year, open or self pollinated, that I left on it to give a try, if they end up being fertile, the pods do look a bit creased though which Nate described as being most likely bad seed.

David I have popped lutea seed right next to mother plant and it has germinated fine. Call it lazy, but indoor starting is more labor intensive and I have recently had limits on my space inside due to other hybridizing adventures, so have either placed out in raised seed beds or next to mom. Germination happens.You could try a bit of each to test your waters.
