My Harbor Freight Greenhouse is deteriorating. The frame is fine but the panels are crumbling. I think I want to just cover it with plastic. Thoughts? What thickness of plastic? Thanks.

We use plastic sheet as a liner under glass windows, but there is no reason you can't use it all over. Study up on the available brands - prices vary - and figure out how much you need. Double thickness recommended, with an air-space between. It usually comes in honkin' great unwieldy rolls, a pain to lay out and unfold, but that's good, because you want the fewest possible seams. https://www.greenhousemag.com/...
Unless the roof is curved, I would also seriously consider rigid panels on top https://www.homedepot.com/b/Bu...
for better protection against snow, ice and hale.

Thanks! Good advice! I wasn't thinking if the snow on the roof. I'll have to look around to see where to get the panels. I'll bet they're expensive!

Greenhouse Megastore also sells UPS shipable polycarbonate panels, both twin wall and corrugated. Cheaper than having them delivered by truck.

Home Despot, $37CDN for a 12' panel (not sure if it's 3' or 4' wide) or $25 for an 8'long one. We bought them when we still had the van. so delivery wasn't an issue. Covered the giant garage-tent in the same roofing and it's done very well for several years now. BTW I wouldn't bother with all those wiggly foam or hard plastic underthings: just make a good frame of 2X1's, drill holes in the plastic sheet and screw them on with a rubber washer to prevent leaks.

Rossanne, so sorry to hear about your Harbor Freight Greenhouse panels. I totally agree if you can fine
replacement panels go for it if the cost isn't to much. We have one kit greenhouse and one PVC framed
greenhouse which we use 6ml plastic on it. But this year we found 10ml plastic on Amazon which they
stated was clear but turned out white. It is hard to handle but well worth the $150! Let me know if you
would like photos.

Any body have a good source, at a good price, preferably in the Northwest or at least west coast, for twin wall or triple wall polycarbonate panels? I have 2 - 8'w x 16'l x 8'h 'gothic style' houses.
