Karen @plantmanager, Do you have any favorites you are seeking?

Hi Scott, right now I'm looking for
(Aechmea 'Blue Tango')

(Aechmea 'Red Candles')

(Aechmea fasciata)

I just was lucky to get Billbergia 'Foster's Striate' in a trade. I really wish they could be outside year round. I'm running out of space for the larger broms. I think I need to move to Florida!

You would be very welcome but be prepared, all the broms available here give me sensory overload. Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! I have to force myself to use discipline and not buy more than I can reasonable care for.

I am in agreement here. At times I ask myself "Don't you think you have enough?"
I have avoided the plant nurseries this year that were my seek and find for new Bromeliads.
Enjoying the Bromeliads I have.

Finally got my pocket planter planted
I used 6' stakes from tomato cage pounded 2'into the ground and zip tied to pocket planter leaving enough space around my young tree to grow

Susan, that looks great, you'll have to keep posting pics down the road as it fills in with new pups, great idea, I have lots of trees so you have me thinking Whistling . LOL

@plantmanager Karen this might sound like a strange place to check, but around here when A. fasciata comes into bloom, which I believe is mid summer, I'll see them in the floral section of grocery stores and in some of the Whole food markets too, so you might check there.

Thanks for the ideas. We are in a very rural place. We don't have those stores. A Walmart is as good as it gets here. I go crazy if we visit cities with places like that.

If you have big trees you can just bolt it to the tree.

I had to go to Walmart today to get camping stuff, the garden center had a couple Aechmea fasciata plants, just starting to flower. so keep an eye on your Walmart.
