Just catching up here. I am amidst doing cuttings for tender salvias at the moment as cold, possible frost predicted later this week. I do have a lot of white agastache, and salvia azurea, I should have a decent amount. I don't know about the other salvias yet. I will be assessing for a seed swap coming up, and can let you know.

I can trade a packet of self-collected 'Blue Queen' Salvia (Purplish). Do you collect seeds?

I replied to your extensive list that we've been exchanging. Oh, and I can find and exchange those Blue Salvia seeds.

Let me know if you didn't get my previous email with details.

Lovely! Those last few in bloom—when did you start those seeds?

I started all from last winter, this spring, summer. I just started collecting and sowing a little over a year ago

Impressive. If I might ask a bit more: did you sow in an enclosed area or greenhouse (hard to imagine that in AZ)? Outdoors? Looking at the weather app, it appears that you're in the insanity heat zone—how is everything holding up?

The weather has been absolutely brutal. Currently it is monsoon, so it is even more miserable with the dew point, and humidity.

Outside. I hand water 2-3x daily, and make sure it is in full shade by afternoon peak heat.

I've lost quite a few unfortunately, but I have many holding on.

I started some seeds of Salvia 'Envy'. Now I have 4 perky dark green seedlings showing their cotyledons. It's exciting to grow a new one.

I have a giant summer jewel pink currently taking over.

And a red salvia that is massive.

To all you salvia seed growers, in general, how long have you noticed salvia seeds remaining viable?
