I used to, years ago. I've had to cut back so much, I don't have any I want to divide or get rid of now.

I have no major clumps yet, all of mine are too new. Perhaps in the future. I will admit to having been gifted some beautiful daylilies and TB iris that I wouldn't have otherwise ~Jan

I have frequently participated and really had fun. A lot of times I would trade even if all I had was 4 fans. Now space is such an issue that I trade on a much more limited basis. I've gotten lots of really nice daylilies and had loads of fun in Trademart! I'm sure I'll take a look and see if there's something irresistable......

I've never heard of Trademart, do you have to have a whole clump?

I think you have to be an AHS member and on the daylily robin. Most people just trade 2 fans. One is held this time of year for shipment in the spring and another in August (I think) for fall shipment. I actually prefer to trade in the fall. I have a better idea of what I actually have without having to worry about how it made it through the winter..... Plus dividing my plant in the spring frequently means it won't bloom as well, if at all that summer.

Susan,
Trademart is open to all AHS Robin members. It started in the 90's I think. It's offered twice a year and is a good place to find trades for your extra plants. Each person pays shipping on what they send. You post a list of up to 50 plants you're looking for and up to 50 that you have available to trade. One can leave reviews on the trade to help build reputations.

Note: I had an e-mail from Diane Pruden today that they're having trouble with the site. If you can't get in that may be why.

Thanks for the information! I tip my hat to you.

Traded in the past. All kinds of sizes of plants - just be specific about what you have to offer and be generous! You are getting freebies, in a way, in return!

I got special raspberry bushes in my last fall trade!

Would love to get some unusual hosta as well but tried twice and that didn't work out.

Sometimes I have intros to share for something special that "I" want!

I am also specific that I will only trade with NON rust, NON sprayed gardens.

So you see, you can write in all kinds of info about what you have to trade and what you are expecting. Don't worry about being first. I have often traded later in the week.

HAVE FUN!

A lot of folks, for very good reasons, don't want to trade with gardens that have rust and spray. I don't blame them! That is the reason I don't do Trademart. I have successfully traded with other people in the rust belt and had a great time.

I guess if some ATPs folks want to post a wish list we could see if others would want to make a trade.

Are you looking for something specific, hillbilly?

I'd want to clear having a trade thread with Dave if there is interest. I believe there were some issues with trades on DG - but I am not 100% sure on that....

So if there is interest, I will contact him about it.
