Where do you find good plants? Places I thought are worth repeating:

Panhandle Palm & Rock in Navarre. Tons of trees and shrubs, some smaller plants.

Goodman Gardens between Mary Esther & Navarre. Small mom'n'pop, nice looking plants for what was there. I always stop at those places just to see what's there that day.

They are! I just wish there were more. Any place that sells named Coleus beyond 'Wizard' and 'Rainbow' is an awesome place in my book. And why there is more Coleus in OH than FL remains a mystery...!!!! Mobile & Panama City are farther away since they're not due south of me but I may need to branch out into those areas.

LOL, sort of like why doesn't Publix have fresh Florida produce???

Actually the best coleus I ever bought came from Rosy Dawn Gardens in Michigan. The plants that arrived were tiny but they just blossomed into large beautiful plants within a week or so. https://rosydawngardens.com/ These were from a coop on the old Dave's Garden.

Hmm, that may be a more important and pressing mystery! LOL!

I used to live close enough to visit Baker's Acres at least once per spring and was totally spoiled about "having to choose" between countless Coleus. I thought their Coleus came from FL. The source would probably be in the south part of FL anyway. They used to send the funniest catalog just before they opened for the season. If you want to order Coleus online, I think they ship plants, and can attest that they're real and have amazing plants. I'm not letting myself cross that line. I get in enough trouble visiting the few stores I can find occasionally.

Coleus usually last several years here but this past winter did them in. I did see a couple of seedlings coming up but who knows what they will turn out to look like. I am not buying any annual this year save for a couple of impatiens I got for .50 on the death rack at Lowe's. Of course these are famous last words, I will probably fall off the wheelbarrow and pick up some coleus that catch my eye one of these days.

Found some cool plants @ "Paradise plants & Palms" in Valparaiso.

And found a new place that a guy and his mother are starting in Mossy Head called "Plants Playground".

Did anyone visit any of these? Find any others?
