I don't even remember where I got this, but I don't think it came with any kind of label. Obviously an agave with the spines. I originally thought A. parryi (it was much more compact when I got it), but maybe that was only its "baby form." Or maybe the reverse, and it is now very etiolated. More likely the latter given the growing conditions I have had available until recently when I got a grow light.

Anyone want to hazard a guess? Thanks!

I am guessing Agave americana here, just based on the numbers. That's a pretty huge plant at maturity, so you know.

The more natural light, the better, and if you can put the plant outside in the sun during the warmer months, that would be good. Your plant would enjoy a larger pot in the near future. Use soil with good drainage (eg. 50% perlite).

Welcome!
