Is there any movement to breed in Hosta plantaginea's fragrance into the giant-sized hostas? I have one experimental cross from Plant Delights: Hosta sieboldiana x H. Plantaginea. I can't say that it is fragrant, at least not to me.

Thanks!

a few years ago i bought both sieboldiana & plantaginea with that in mind
and the following year i lost my ability to smell
so i did nothing and forgot about them Sad

Smiling I have noticed that my sense of smell is waning over time...

However, I'd love to find a hosta that is something like H. Empress Wu -- but fragrant also!
