I love growing plants, but playing with yard and garden lighting has been so much fun, and practical as well (I can see to take the trash out or tend the plants in the evening in the winter)! So here's what I have. The lights against the garden walls/fence have 7 color options, so I can change them seasonally if I want to (last picture is my Christmas theme). The string lights on the fence I also change out seasonally. You can't really tell from the pic, but they're flowerbuds for spring right now and in that pic, but I also have snowflakes, hearts and roses, greens (St. Paddy's), red and blue stars (Independence Day), ghosts and jack-o-lanterns, and I'm always on the look out for more fun stuff. All lights are solar, so no need to run extension cords/wiring, just swap out rechargeable batteries when they die after a few hundred charge cycles.

Shucks, thanks for the kind words. Thank You!

Here are the products:

Wall/fence lights: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H975ZKT/
Pathway lights: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WLKT2HZ/

The lights up by the bench in the front are out of stock with no return to stock date, so I won't link them. If they come back in stock and I remember, I will (they're pretty good). The strings I put on the fence are whatever random seasonally appropriate solar string lights 20' or more I come across on Amazon. Smiling For the wall lights, those are great because they have a fairly large solar panel with a long-ish cord that comes with both ground stakes and wall mounts, so you can put the panel 10 feet plus from the light, if needed, and mount it however gives you the best sunlight! Both the wall lights and the pathway lights tend to stay on all night from March through October, with a still-good 4-6 hours of light November through February!

For batteries, I use NiMH rechargeable batteries. I haven't had to replace any yet, so I don't know what's in the lights, but that's what I'll replace them with when the time comes. With a slow charge like a small solar panel provides, they should last for 800+ cycles (so over 2 years). I use them in my home (remotes, my outdoor thermometer receiver and sensors, other random things), and like them. Just remember that they shouldn't be tossed in the trash when dead. Most big-box hardware stores accept batteries for recycling/proper disposal, as do many natural and organic food markets. Some cities have disposal events (here in DC, you can take your "household hazardous waste" to the trash transfer station every Saturday and the first Thursday of every month).

nature keeps amazing me
nicely done! I'm all about the lights. I re-did my solar lights last week end. they're an assortment from Walmart plus left overs from 3 years ago. Walmart ran out pretty quickly this year on several things but I lucked out and got a couple of full trays. I placed the higher lumens in the front bed and the rest went inside the garden outlining the beds. just wish I had more. my christmas lights are still on around the porch windows. clear LEDS. My neighbors still have their Christmas lights on too. it was a pandemic thing. keep the lights on and keep hoping.

My neighbors across the street - who are a very sweet elderly couple - have a Silver Maple that they keep trimmed down to an oval tree about 8 feet high (amazing! lol) They have Christmas lights and ornaments in it all year long and I can see them from my living room and studio windows. I love them! I find they are cheerful and uplifting. Personally I wish more people in my area did this.
Btw, I work at Walmart and we sold out fast in my our store too. The time frame for placing orders was cut off very early - that's usually done on a District or Home Office level. Lawn and Garden seasonal materials seem to get cut off earlier every year in my store.
Give me land, lots of land, under starry skies above. Don't fence me in.

I have too many solar lights to list but these are my fave (and cheap-costing but not cheap-looking):

The gentle transition of colors is mesmerizing. In fact, the first night a couple of raccoons came over to watch the show.

Next fave are Tiki-torch "flame" solar lights.
The following link is not the exact ones I own (out of stock) but are similar:
