just a couple inches of snow for here tomorrow. Don't have to commute so not difficult.

Friday into Saturday we are supposed to have a strong winter storm here in the northeast. Today I heard 16 inches for us here on Long Island. But it depends on what channel you watch as they all have differening amounts. Still they all agree that we are in for in by the end of the week.

back to 1978. School is cancelled for the area which should help.

Nope. not going anywhere today or tomorrow. Just staying in. Supposed top be really bad here overnight. I just hope the power stays on in the blizzard conditions.

I heard unbelievable amounts expected for the Boston area. 33 inches! The 16 inches I heard last night for here is bad enough. I can't imagine 33 inches. But we will see. I haven't hard any updates yet this morning.

The snow has started. Don't worry about us going anywhere. I grew up in Wisconsin & have been living in New England for 50 years. We know about sitting in during a storm. the officials got creative this year & closed all schools. those who wish to go north for skiing have already left. John has his cross country skis, but hasn't used them for over 10 yrs.

33", Rita, that's nothing in them here parts. And we live 1/2 mile back in the woods. I'm sure I'll get some good pics tonight.

Oh gosh, I can't even imagine that much snow!!!!!!

We normally get at least 200 inches a year, up to 300. Not all at once thank heavens.

Right now I have slip on sneakers on. Didn't Russ do a good job snow blowing? Never, ever, do I walk through tall snow. He loves that snowblower.. It's too much for me to handle.

Me too. I am 5'2"

I'm barely 5', Rita. I might need a periscope.
Maybe for both of us.

5'8" here, although my doc said 5'6.5" last time she measured me, and no osteoporosis. I think her thin-gee is wrong. That just makes me fatter, though.

When I was younger I always wished I had been taller. Now it doesn't matter much.I am used to being short me.

Tall is not all it's cracked up to be! When you drop someting, it's a lot farther down to pick it up again!!....Arlyn
