So for the past several years, as soon as the dandelions began blooming, we were out there popping them up and shooting them into a Kangaroo bag. The thing is to get them before they set seed. Same for the plantain weed, both narrow leaf and broad. Same for the goosegrass. Anyway, by last year our yard and garden were vastly improved. A few of them that reappeared last year must have had especially long tap roots, so we treated those with Round-Up. You wouldn't believe how much better our yard looks now, compared with our neighbors'. It's hard work, but decent exercise. It can be done without spreading herbicide far and wide.
