I have been searching for literally YEARS for a specimen of Bromelia scarlatina. I used to have this rare plant, but it succumbed to the cold in the greenhouse in 2010 when my heater flamed out during a string of 10 nights of unprecedented 20F nights. Does anyone here HAVE one?

Interesting plant, seems there are two forms of it, one pretty rare. Looks like Tropiflora sometime sales it, I've never seen it before.

GIna, Tropiflora has a lot of plants not offered to the general public, I would contact them and ask about it. You never know......

We visited there several times when my kid still was at Ringling, I asked just about every time LOL they never had it. The luckiest I have gotten with them in recent history was scoring my Racinaea's from the VIPP once.
