I'm so glad you posted all the pictures, and I love all of them. I do the same thing with vintage fabrics, also embroidered pieces and even have found lace and buttons that I add to things. You are doing a fabulous job!

And congratulations on that new baby! What a great family to belong to.

Be careful with that leg; you sure don't want to miss out on gardening. Group hug

Must have been - I'd been making little blankets for the Animal Shelter here and I stopped to take a computer break!

I'm repurposing old sheets and blankets, even pillowcases, for the AS. So yes, we were no doubt on the same page/channel.

What a great project Sharon! We have thrifted sheets for the large dogs beds here, just make them into pillow cases to slip the beds into.

This is my Pinterest Vintage Sheets board http://pinterest.com/calif_sue...
and my collection is starting to look like this:

Look for the vintage tablecloths too. They make wonderful aprons!
So do the curtains.
I also have a ton of old handkerchiefs, beautiful for inserts or applique'.

I'll check out your pins.

Oh I love love love those tiered ruffled aprons! I have tons of aprons bookmarked but haven't had time to do any of them on a board. I guess I should since that's easier than bookmarking.

But I have several aprons that belonged to my family, and they are so special. Also one that belonged to me when I was about 4, so you know how old they all are.

I can tell right now I need to spend more time on your fabric boards.
Can you see this one very well? It's made small but with pockets and makes a great one for playing around with little potted plants. You can carry tiny snippers and little digging tools in it. Or seeds. I have a few aprons like that, good for gardening. Two worlds in one Smiling

I didn't make that one above, it was a gift. But I've made several since in various sizes.

Sue - what a lovely seamstress you are - everything is just lovely and beautiful!

Sharon - love your apron. Hank has tons of nail aprons so I snagged a couple for when I'm gardening. Sure not as pretty as yours though.

You ladies are SO FREAKING TALENTED Hurray! Thumbs up

Take care Sue Lovey dubby

Sue: You are very creative, as is Sharon! Those of you with such talent always make me *sigh* ... wishing I could have a teensy bit of your talent. I sometimes have kinda creative ideas but soon get distracted, and the older I get the quicker my attention span wanes. Green Grin!

Lovey dubby I love the bibs, and that apron you made for your lovely granddaughter is really pretty ... and I especially love that pillow! I wish I had the patience to sew. I get so inspired by y'all with such talent and think that I should get creative but then I soon get distracted. I too love flower and bird prints. I always thought I'd like to make a few puffy(lightly stuffed) flower or bird prints to frame and hang on the wall but alas, I just don't ever seem to find the time to try it. I get inspired but never seem to follow through; about the only project I can seem to finish is simple wreaths made with silk flowers etc.

Anyway ... great work, I look forward to seeing more of your projects! And, congratulations to your handsome son and his pretty bride, and the news of the coming grand baby!

Thanks Lin!!
Speaking of puffy(lightly stuffed), I made them a diaper pouch, one big enough for a couple of diapers and a pack of wipes and I added a cut out of an elephant from a printed fabric. I stitched it all the way around onto the bag and left it open just enough to add a little amount of stuffing to it. It came out so cute, if I do say so myself! Forgot to get a picture of it but will next time I see it.
