Curious as to the largest hosta you have personally seen.

I saw a coast to coast that was well over 4" and at least as wide, unfortunately I do not have a picture of it.

I've seen some huge ones at one of my favorite nurseries. But, I've also seen that they plant 3 to a clump. It makes a beautiful display, but a little misleading.

Wow, never even thought of that possibility!

I just bought Coast to Coast so will see how it does , but that is way bigger then it is supposed to get which is thirty inches high. Do not see a lot of large ones around here. Mostly some good sized Sum And Substance . My confused Angel gets about 4 ft wide and about 30 inches high.

I had a huge Sum and Substance once. At the time, I was able to get mushroom compost and I may be mistaken but I remember it needing a 6 feet circle. I had to move it and it just faded away. Shrug! Crying
I can't get that compost anymore. It did do amazing things.

Loretta Condurso's Garden Center in Montville used to carry it, I have not made it there this year.

Wow, I just added Coast to Coast I didn't know it would grow so large! I am hoping with my limited shade that it would do ok in partial shade.

I have added Empress Wu, but not impressive yet.

Bob, one of the chrysanthemum growers used to drive in a trailer full of it from the Amish Country but he stopped doing it. I will check on Condurso's but I never saw it in their display boxes where they had the bulk items.

Coast to Coast has it's best color if it gets some sun.

Loretta the times I saw it were right in front of the building. Thinking about it I do not think I went there last season but picked up a couple of bags the year before.
