I forgot about callousing the root cutting before planting. It's been about 3 days now. Should I pull it out and callous it? Or just let it be?

@84Brian, since you are in zone 10a, you can just let it be but make sure the soil has a chance to dry. Others say wait until 4 sets of leaves are out before watering in full. If it gets too dry I have a tendency to mist them sometimes but not soaking wet.

@84Brian not sure how hot you get but mine are all being rooted in full sun on a hot pavement. In my early days of rooting my first few cuttings, I was told that bottom heat is helps speed up the rooting. So all my cuttings that are rooting are in full sun.

Take a picture and share your progress. There are other members here who have rooted a lot more cuttings than I did.

The majority of my plumeria collections were seeds I rooted in 2013 or seeds from my own plumerias.

You will be fine to leave it. Optimally you would let it callous, but, I have stuck them from cut to dirt with success. I tend to root mine in partial shade for the most part. Full sun is kind of a matter of where you live. Here in Houston, full sun can be quite brutal, that's why I try for morning and early afternoon sun. After 3pm it can possibly get too hot, plus I don't want them to dry out too quickly.
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.
