I am trying to Id some camellias that I took pictures of Jan 11 of this year. This one did not have a label but it does look like
Pink Perfection am I right or do I need to do more research?

Oh, I wish it was that easy, as I wrote in another ID post further down, like daylilies, roses and lots of other flowers, IDing camellias is not easy. Several camellia specialty sites have pages and pages of camellias with no ID. Shrug!
I was going to write the same in your thread Ginger. Green Grin!

Darn I was hoping to add that to the files-even if I say so myself it is a very good picture.
Maybe I will print off a copy and take it with me when I go next month(I hope) to the National Camellia gardens in Georgia

Could be Nuccio's Cameo .. note the indented petals. Nuccio Camellias would be widely sold.

Jb it is a very common camellia down here in Florida, believe it is a old form as some of the bushes are huge.

I noticed the description said white too Sandy, but it's obviously a delicate pink.

It's the waterlily arrangement of the petals which match best in my view, but that isn't defininte of course!

Sandy, Pink Perfection was my first thought also. But then did some searching for the best pic. Look at the pics here for comparison.

I found another picture of this that I know was planted 70-90 years a go so unless anyone can find another camellia that looks the same that is that old it has to be Pink Perfection

Pink Perfection is listed on the pdf which I dug up from an old thread of Camellias in Florida. A similar one is Doris Ellis but it has slightly darker colouring on the outer petals, it doesn't mention it as being an older variety either.

Pink Pefection is a small formal double, upright growth and vigorous.

Janet thanks, the place I checked said it came out in 1875 so it is old enough.
The place I took the picture has camellia TREES many in the planted in 1923, these where close to the house so I believe that they are among the oldest ones.

I have an 18 year old 'Pink Perfection'. Mine has tight buds right now and will bloom next month when it gets a little warmer here in Richmond. It is a japonica type, so it can bloom anywhere from Nov to May. When I saw the photo my first impression was that it is 'Pink Perf.'. It's hard to tell from one blossom. Take a close look at the form. Mine is probably 15 ft tall by 3-4 feet wide and very straight. I grow 20 different cultivars and it is probably the most upright.
