Hopefully this patterning will last and not be transient

Well that's neat. I've never seen that on a Birkin before. Smiling

What causes that?

@gardenfanaticinmo, here are some updated photos.

This first batch were seeds from a self pollinator, A. clarinervium x faustomirandae. Parent in the first photo. This was already a hybrid, I did not make the hybrid parent, just growing out the seeds from it
Thumb of 2021-07-26/Gina1960/4cd20f
And I have 3 pretty distinct seedling types from this one batch of seeds.

Pointed and longer, but thicker darker matte leaves and significant veining

Thumb of 2021-07-26/Gina1960/a261d1
Heart shaped and shorter, with darker matte leaves and significant veining

Thumb of 2021-07-26/Gina1960/9b6bbc
Longer and pointed, with glossy lighter leaves

And my second batch is a cross that I did make between A. forgetii x A. (besseae x magnificum) and the opposite cross between A. (besseae x magnificum) x A. forgetii.
These are growing really fast now and exhibiting all sorts of characteristics. Parents in the first 2 photos, seedlings after that

Deanna they both have some white veining. It will be interesting to see what they look like when they are older
