Thread OP

last year I sold some Western american lily selections as being PINK, clone number = CW2-7 X PP#2. this year I discovered I had 2 different siblings with that number and sold an ORANGE one, I will send replacements but am not sure I can find all my orders since I did not save all the invoice on my computer like I am supposed to.....
So if you got the orange one let me know! you can email me direct at [email protected] or send tree mail.
I am using my good old windowsXP, the awful, horrible newer computer I got with Windows10 on it is completely UNBEARABLE to even look at and that is one of it's better features. It may be a while before I can answer, lots of sites have become incompatabl ewith my computer.

The picture is what you were supposed to get

I will be selling mixed seedling lots and a few clones and species this year on my eCrater site. Trumpets are mostly Awesome seedlings, a few Asiatics, Martagons, OT's and anything else I can get to since they won't survive another winter here. They have just started blooming and I can only work one or 2 hours at dawn before the evil scum drive me back inside every day so I don't bother selecting any choice ones out. I am killing the ones that are not good and disbudding all blooms once I have my data so I can get my data quickly, and move on to digging other bulbs to sell. My selling site is:
[email protected]
I am starting to list other bulbs right now, I must move and I am broke. I will be out of business since it doesn't look like I can afford a yard, staying here is NOT possible. The evil new neighbors have cost me my home and livlihood. I was unable to take care of them when they needed and Lilies are dying daily.

I am sorry you are having difficulties with Windows 10, but realistically you have to accept that Windows XP is dead and a major security risk. Browsers and websites won't support it precisely because it is so vulnerable. You are opening yourself up to viruses, malware and host of other problems (e.g. identity theft, hacking, ransomware, etc.) by continuing to persist with Windows XP.

There are plenty of options to make Windows 10 look like Windows XP, such as Classic Shell: https://gizmodo.com/how-to-mak...

Please abandon XP and move to something more secure and reliable. It's only going to make things harder for you in the long run and it already sounds like life is difficult enough as it is.

Lisa,

I got the CW2-7 x PP#2 from you and it just opened. The ones I have are pink and gorgeous.

Thanks!
Patrick

Thread OP

I have no choice but to use the awful windows 10 I wasted time and money on, my XP died. It was a wonderful computer and even gave me warning, but I forgot to back up my files the day I planned to do that and it died the next day, so it was expensive, it was more to get my files off than this awful computer is worth.
Windows10 is so horrible I am actually looking forward to going out of business! I may end up going out of business without clearance selling my lilies since windows 10 is so horrible.
I do have some really nice new seedlings I hope to post here, but all my photo downloading and editing will have to be done on my old laptop since this one does NOT work and I have not got enough years left to waste anymore time on it.
I have started to get some of the Daffodils and misc bulbs on my eCrater site, those needed to be dug last summer but I couldn't work outside so some of the daffodils are small due to crowding. I am also killing off the native bulbs and plants I have been working n for 40 years, they just don't sell on the internet and I am too crippled to do plant shows ever again. There may be a few I list since they are small and I can hopefully produce seed from container stock for the wholesale market.

I am glad some of the lilies came out right. Due to the awful move I made when I bought this huge mistake I could only grab a few of my special lilies, accidentally I double dug some and didn't notice since the bulk of them were abandoned and I only grabbed samples. It has taken 3 years for the lilies to be ready to sell and some are in 2 or more places. this year I am killing the culls and removing the blooms immediately and it is helping me get them sorted out better. No point in leaving them there when there is no peace to enjoy them. I only get about 1 hour at dawn to work outside in peace and quiet here.
I planned to mostly list mixed seedlots of the seedlings. the Trumpet seedlings have not bloomed yet. Everything is late, it was and is a dry year here so that meant not much spring rain, which meant clear skies and frost late into the spring. Then a record shattering heat wave fried a bunch of stuff.
This is an example of what one of the seedlot lilies of the Western American Hybrids will look like, most are pink, some will be dark pink to magenta, I killed all the orange and all the red and all the ones that won't bloom this year. I got some some very special ones but have not fixed the pix yet, have to do it on the laptop and copy them over to here. This computer is so upgraded it is utterly useless to me, and probably what is giving me these killer headaches, the color is eyebleeding....

Is there someone that can check the screen settings for you? The screen sharpness, brightness, contrast and colour balance are all configurable and it sounds like yours are not correctly set.

Nothing throws a wrench into productivity than when a business upgrades the operating systems and/or the office suite. I know because it happened to me then I retired shortly thereafter.

I used OPen Suse Linux from 2002 to 2013 when I replaced my computer. It came with the new and wonderful Windows 8 that MS touted as the best system ever. It looked nothing like Windows 7 and people freaked out. Microsoft got a lot of push back so they did an upgrade to 8.1 which was more Windows-like.

Then shortly after that they skipped 9 and went straight to W10 and by golly it was to be free for a period of time and MS would just shove it onto your computer when your back was turned. So I did a lot of research only to find the settings would be initially set to benefit Microsoft (eg, allows them to use your excess bandwidth). My solution was to turn off automatic updates until the free period was over. The next time I upgrade I may well go back to Linux and skip the drama.

Thread OP

I wasted a bunch of time on trying to get the color not to make my eyes bleed, I don't have that many years left to waste on this evil devils spawn thing. I used this piece of crap from Jan to last Sept when it decided to quit printing, I got out my old xp, no issues with it.
Then I had all my programs working on this windows10, not correctly but they did work. I couldn't use it to do anything with my photos since the color was impossible. I just reinstalled the printer and it is working but now I cannot use my program for my camera and cannot get any pix off the camera onto this horrid thing. I do not have time and I have had a spitting headache for days on end from looking at it. I was so sick today I could do NOTHING on this thing and now it is coming back.
I knew when I set this up it was going to require 2 computers since I have to do my photos on something i can see, so my old laptop will be for photos and them I have to copy those to this to put on the internet since the internet is so very unfriendly now. I am really hating the internet and the discrimination everywhere against those who won't carry a computer around with them, and live 100% of their life virtually. What good would that do when i don't get a cell signal and certainly cannot carry a "smart" phone, it is too big and way too fragile, wouldn't last 1 day in my life. I work in nature and nature doesn't work virtually.
And I hat computers I drive one too and that is the only cause of any problems I have ever had with the car or the truck.
This is one reason why I give a BIG discount for people who send me checks - the Paypal site is AWFUL and sucks up a bunch of my time.
