How beautiful! Love the look of cactus and succulents like this when they are in bloom, but don't like thorny plants. My husband likes thorny plants even less. He tolerates my rose bushes and just keeps his distance, but wasn't happy I tried bougies over and over, only to lose them in the winter. As it turns out, our Texas freeze in February killed off ever single bougie I had remaining, so he's happy about those losses.

Peggy, I despise thorny plants too but this one has no thorns ... they look like thorns but they are actually very soft nubs! We dug out and killed some really huge Bougainvilleas on our property ... they were truly dangerous!!!

Oh, I need to put this plant in my memory banks then. It's interesting in general appearance and sure has a pretty bloom! Thanks Lin!
