Hi,
I am a newbie , just trying not to kill my Japanese Maple tree Smiling and learn from all you experienced people

Should i be worried about the curling leaves on the top of the tree?
is it normal because of hot sun or something to do about watering/ disease?

Please help enlighten. Thanks

Welcome!

Can you post a photo of the whole tree and then the problem areas? Is it in a pot or in the ground? What is the sun exposure? Where is the plant located?

How long have you had the tree? How do you water?

The plant is located in the corner of my yard. It is planted in the ground and has about 4-5 hours of morning sun. In the afternoon it got shade

I had the tree for a little over a month. The leaves that looked burnt/ curl are the top ones. I read perhaps it is a "wind burn" which is normal (hopefully that's correct)

It's the heat. The same thing is happening with my Ficus trees. Give the maples some water to help them cope with the heat.

When trees dry at the top, its an indication they're not getting enough water. Trees use the water from the bottom up. Your tree is running out of water before the water reaches the top.
