They are like wispy things, with their long germination time needing sunlight and being so light--and a low germination rate at that, from what I've read. Well, I put them in a starter tray under the west facing sill so perhaps won't get pummeled when it rains; I'll keep them moist though that's the only place like that. I'm cautiously optimistic, but realistic, give it a try. I Put some dwarf mammoth sunflower seeds in with them so if the blanket flower doesn't germinate, or poorly, I've also got these germinated and started into their hardy growth time--blanket flower can take up to 45 days to germinate. Has anyone grown from a seed?
Update, since I can't see an option to delete, lemme say the blanket flowers sprouted in less than 7 days; and at least 50% germination--see pics.

Fingers crossed they do well Crossing Fingers! .

I just let mine self seed, they're still not to seed point yet, I think it is late next month or Sept. I start seeing the seeds ready to fall off, I do plant some around myself, and let others go naturally. A lot end up out in the lawn come next spring and I have to dig them up and move them into the garden bed, they transplant well.
