First new bed done and ready for planting some of my millions of babies! Too bad it is going freeze tonight. Also you can see second bed in background that I am working on.
We had a light frost last night, and have a frost warning for tonight, too. So cold! Hi today was 56°. My tender plants are sleeping in the garage again. Seems like it'll be fall before I can plant stuff.
Finally all the cold is supposed to be gone! I got some minor frost damage despite covering my babies.
I lost all but two of my Brazillian button seedlings. No worries, i have plenty of other stuff!
Jennifer - what an impressive display of wintersowing.
Did you recently remove the upper parts of the milkjugs or do you not use them in the germination process? I noticed that even your newly sprouted seeds are uncovered.
We had 5 days of warm very sunny weather two weeks ago. Since my jugs are SW facing against brick it got very hot. I cut the tops off then. My sprouting was done by then. It got cold so growth has been at a standstill. I am expecting growth to really pick up now. Bachelor buttons, calendula, and cosmos will be planted out in the next few days. They are huge!
I am feeling stressed at how much I have to do. I hate having to go to work. Well today I thought I would feel better if I took some therapy to work! Before:

Cold steady rain day today. I wanted to plant out, but instead I'm preforming root surgery under cover. I still have containers left that really need to be done.
