I think this is great. In SC we had the ACE Basin which was, up until now, the largest preserved area on the east coast. This project however is far greater in scope. Thumbs up Thumbs up

The Florida Wildlife Corridor Act is so very important, it is so concerning for me to continue to see the environmental impacts from overdevelopment to Florida's ecosystems. I totally support the preserving of essential habitat and wildlife corridors, it is a great investment to the future of this state.

This is the website, the other link keeps blocking me from reading for free. I love the story of the bear M34, how a bear lives in Florida, something worth taking the time to read.

Thanks Sherri, that is a better link. My SIL saw something on TV about the corridor and it mentioned the Fakahatchee Preserve so now she is pressing for a vacay down there. LOL

M24 is one healthy looking bear. I expect it is because he is eating nuts and the natural foods bears eat. The bears see in NC are sort of rangy looking but they scrounge about in Asheville dumpsters for people food. It can't be good for them.

I heard March is a good time to go, early March, take your bug spray LOL.

We've been having a lot of wildlife sightings around here in the neighborhoods, many are getting pics on their security cameras of Bears and bobcats wondering through their yards. They have been quite healthy looking bears. Whistling

I told the SIL about the mosquitoes, snakes, gators and crocs. LOL
