Would anyone happen to know the name of this small, white day-bloomer? I have done a lot of research, but have not found one with this small of a bloom.

I have that one as well. I got mine from https://www.almostedenplants.c... It is not an interesting name but a delightful and manageable Epi.

@pod Thanks! It is a nice plant and I like that the plant itself stays smaller. I just don't have room for more than a couple of the larger ones. I got rid of my E. oxypetulum because it was taking up too much space. I did enjoy it blooming for about 5 years though.

It is a delightful plant. I had lost mine in the hard February freeze. I did replace it as I love this one. It could use a more imaginative name than dwarf white.

Oddly some of my Epis recovered from the roots after freezing but this one did not.

Sondra maybe yours is Epipyllum Pumilum.
If you google it there is a video of a green house set up with many plants, all E Pumilum in flower.
Worth a look anyway!

Steve, the blooms are similar, but seem too small for Pumilum. Mine is a small plant though, so maybe they will get bigger as the plant grows. I found the 'Dwarf White' on the Almost Eden website and it is definitely the same flower as mine. What gives me questions though is that, that is the only mention of the name 'Dwarf White' I can find anywhere. It makes me wonder if Almost Eden could not identify the plant either, so made the name up. Or maybe they hybridized the plant and named it that. They don't give any background information on it.

Sondra, I agree. the foliage looks similar but the bloom on Dwarf White (mine did come from Almost Eden) is smaller than the bloom on E. pumilum Epiphyllum (Epiphyllum pumilum)

I do see Dwarf White listed in the Plant Files data base although I'm not sure where they get their info. I had added photos from my first one that froze. Orchid Cactus (Epiphyllum 'Dwarf White')

@Gardener2493 If you hang around here you will be certain you need to add Epiphyllums to your plant collection. I'll guarantee it. Thumbs up

No probably about it. I just purchased an Epiphyllym pumilum. Whistling

Maybe in a year I can compare the two and see the differences ( or not).

Not listed in the ESA directory so I would think you are right.

I have missed seeing your blooms. Thank you for sharing.

None of mine bloomed this past summer. I think the setback was due to the incredibly low and lengthy temperatures this past winter. The plants that survived that are in recovery mode and I didn't push them to bloom.

Hopefully more blooms will be forthcoming.
