Boards were pre cut though(lumber mill). Buuut...cutting them to the correct length did take a mitre saw. I have 2 power saws- a combi mitre/table saw(the latter being with limited features)
and a cordless mini circular saw

I see, tx.
Have been thinking of polishing this stone without cutting it, any idea ?

Youd either need a variable speed grinder or a variable speed polishing tool(the one similar to a grinder), with good Ingress Protection rating( because of dust and liquid related work).
No magic without these: variable grit WET polishing diamond pads
Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/b2917e
and for smoothing/shaping either a continuous or coarse(preferably former since the later didnt work out quite stellar as id hoped_)(grinder only)

Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/04a421
As for the how- wear a respirator, protective insulated shoes, bucket of water, tool set at lowest speed. First shape(cup if grinder, coarsest pad if not). Dip the specimen in water periodically, keep it wet while polishing it. Move up the pads by grit( less coarseness) till you reach a glass like finish. You want to aim for flat surfaces, or facets as they are easier(and less time consuming ) to polish.
The most expensive part would be the tool, but getting some medium grade with at least direct splash protection should not be too hard. Im assuming the pads are also more available where you are too

Also, on the table-pretty damn glad I made the brace drill. Putting the screws in.....my father thought we could do it with a cordless drill....but it didnt cut it. We did pre drill it, but....didnt work long turn. So we turned the bit brace into a "enhanced screwdriver" and just barely managed to drive those things in using sheer muscle. Not gonna lie, beech is tough wood.
Also, I can pull off thin sheets of wood with the combi saw, so gonna use that for making stuff in the future.

Wow, I can not afford the Diamond pads, will this kind of flexible sanding pads with different grids workable?
Thumb of 2021-08-08/Kaktus/42e57c

What is the highest grid required for stone polishing? Also need diamond paste for finishing?

Last time I have invested almost 20 sharpening stones from 100 grid to 10,000 grid, just because I bought a so called "Damascus steel" kitchen knife. Not again for a stone from the beach ...

Those are flap wheels. They are used for metal working and surprisingly also good for wood. But these are for dry sanding.
Highest grit I use and have is 3000. But for wet polishing stones. Sandpaper is not viable, and I wouldnt use knife/blade sharpening stones for rocks. Just for the record, my knowledge of grinders
-cutting wheel(thin,, thick) for cutting metal, sometimes ceramic). Wheel is basically glued sand on mesh. This is the bog standard type
Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/397b0b
-unknown types-ive seen this one but dont know whats it called. Its abrasive(like the cutting/grinding disc) but also has waves

-diamond steel wheel, for rock and ceramic(serrated, ribbed varieties, continuous like the one I use) . Metal core
Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/f428c6
-flap wheels-carbide pieces of sandpaper glued on a central base(plastic core, shown above

-carbide teeth cup -for wood and brick shaping(have these, havent tested them)
Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/e2f62b

-diamond cups, previous post
00
-chainsaw wheel, for wood(chain with teeth, suspended by 2 metal plants). Pretty much most woodworkers classified this is as grade A !!NOPE!!!. Id buy one but never use it

Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/789358

-wood cutting wheel, with teeth(either 3 or 6). safer than the previous but still dangerous and pretty much !!!NOPE!!!

Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/7a4898

-carbide teeth cutting wheel, safer than the this by a wide margin. Havent tested it yet.
Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/1b4803

-fine tooth carbide cup wheel(kutzall specific) for wood, similar to the other cup wheel

Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/607112
-turbo plane, arbotech and others, for wood

Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/69da35

-grinding disc(concave) , pretty standard for grinding/shaping metal

Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/54c807

-fiber disc + backing pad. Abrasive, metal but can be also used for wood. I think its mean to be flexible

Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/94d33e

-velcro pad-mainly turns grinder into a sander. Also uses the diamond wet discs as well as

Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/604cdf

also uses buffing/ polishing pads(sponge, fuzz varieties)-use this to clean after polishing

Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/95c965

-paint removal disc( dont know much about it, except it is similar to flap wheel)

Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/7453a1
-wire brush, for rust removal on metal. come in 2 varities-cup and wheel. Both require good eye protection

Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/614710

Thumb of 2021-08-08/skopjecollection/e8e82f
Also-just as a PSA :dont put circular saw blades on grinders, they were not meant to be used that way and the result is very dangerous(more than the chainsaw disc)

You could use the one for stone, but only if its not serratted. You still need the diamond wet pads. Id look at any hardware store, or online.
