Free recycled plant-pots

Refuse - can't always, nearly everything comes from a factory in plastic containers! Recycle - sure, but you don't know whether it actually is recycled, or at what cost. Reuse - Bingo!

And if you're looking for something larger, your local nursery might have an area where they stack empty pots that you can take for free! They're usually cleaned too!

I just happened to go to a nursery and ask if they had any empty one gallon nursery pots. They gave me 100! I didn't know they were going out of business! Crying

Oh, I hope you'll post pictures at some point. 100 potted plants! That's got to end up being gorgeous! So glad you were able to get the pots for free! nodding

Joanna ~ The pots are used for transitioning my new bearded iris and other perennials until cooler weather sets in, so that they can be planted in the ground. They are currently under the shade of an oak tree, but they still get plenty of sunshine, morning sun and late afternoon sun, but shade in the hottest part of the day.

The nursery pots are not decorative and would really not be for "display purposes".

Joanna ~ I am very grateful for them. Some wear out eventually, but most get washed and reused every year.

This last year has been a difficult one for me, as I broke an ankle, then needed a hip replacement. Yes, I am getting old. I'll be 80 in November, but still think I can garden. I do hope to get a "garden helper" in the near future, as I have never been "caught up" with everything that needs to be done.

I would hate to leave these gardens in less than what they could be.

Wow, that's a lot of challenges. If I lived close to you I'd come to work together. But I'm about 3,000 miles away. A bit of a commute.

I do the same with my pots, all gleaned from nurseries for free. Thumbs up

Yes, and I have saved all the ones that came with plants in them previously as well.

I used to donate my excess pots, but now they are all put to use.

So now I got them back! Smiling

Great! It's very eco-friendly and economical, so I would only support such an idea. Plastic recycling in today's world is essential because people have harmed the planet in all previous years, and now we still have a chance to fix it. I believe that using https://www.186needabin.com is the first step towards an environmentally free planet. It is essential to sort the garbage and in case of a considerable amount of it, to contact special services which will help you
